The Independence First United Methodist Church, located in Independence, Kansas, has a strong and uplifting musical tradition. Musical selections in worship are empowered by the Holy Spirit and share the Good News of Jesus Christ. In addition to an adult choir, Chancel Choir, the church also has a number of vocalists and instrumentalists who frequently perform solos during services. The Indy FUMC has an active bell choir whose music brings an added beauty to services. A children's choir also performs several times a year.
